Automated Line Calling for Pickleball
Background
The system was initially developed for tennis in 2017. The current V4 system released in 2024 supports a number of sports including pickleball. I think that it might be a game changer for pickleball. We all have players that are challenged with calling good line calls. This has the potential to change all that and be able to be put on all the courts at any given venue.
Current Testing
I've been testing this system for a number of months now. Although it is currently being sold, the firmware is still in development and is not yet ready to be used on court.

Configuration and Screen Shots
2 Net Devices with 6 Line Devices
The best configuration for pickleball doubles is to use 2 Net Devices and 6 Line Devices. The Net Devices are mounted on a tripod and are 2-6 feet off of the sideline. The Line Devices are on the ground and can be back at the fence line. The Line Devices give the most accurate calls of about 5mm (1/4").
Ball Bounces recorded on Phone
The Phone connected to the Net Devices, displays the last 10 ball bounces. Any of these bounces can be reviewed.
Call Review
The net device offers a video review of the call. The Line Devices is a picture of where the ball bounced.
